Tempe is an Indonesian type of food, made by soy beans. Some famous dishes from tempe are: tempe bacem, tempe goreng mendoan and sambal tempe. Here we made a fried tempe (tempe goreng), couted with spiced flour.

This is an Indian snack, stuffed with meat and potatoes, a lot of curry powder, and covered filo pastry in triangle shape. It has to be hot and spicy.

Croquette

Croquette
Croquette
These balls are croquette (Dutch=kroketten), made of smashed potatoes and some meat, covered with breadcrumbs. This is a typical Dutch snack for quick lunch. There is even an automatic croquette vending machine in Holland, that you just put a coin and grab the croquette.
Whatever type of snacks we have, we like to eat them with sambal (or chili paste). The best are with sambal ABC, of course, and also with raw bird peppers or cabe rawit (150.000 Scoville Heat Units).
