Quick Tip: Transforming a soup into a dish.

During the last weekend, we wanted to make a light starter to break our fasting day (syawal). So we looked into our fridge and found these ingredients: chopped and sliced ready-to-fry potatoes, some fresh mushrooms and some cherry tomatoes.

What would be a good idea to quickly make a delicious starter?

tell me....
  1. Grab an instant mushroom soup and pour it with a hot boiled water in a small cup. Let it cool for a while.
  2. Take 2 or 3 small pyrex bowls and put the chopped potatoes in them, but don't fill it. Just enough to cover their base.
  3. Cut in two the cherry tomatoes and put the two halves in each bowl.
  4. Cut mushrooms in 4 and also put them in each bowl.
  5. Put a little bit of plain flour and 1 egg into the soup cup and stir it.
  6. Pour the soup into each bowls until it fills the bowl.
  7. Put a pinch of pepper or salt if you like, but don't forget that you have used an instant soup which already contains some salt and MSG (vetcin or E621).
  8. Bake them inside an oven for long enough until the egg is cooked and the soup is evaporated.
And you get a nice mushroom soup dish, just like the Bu Sui's Mac Schotel.
As a modification, you can cover the dish with a slice of lasagna pasta or pangsit on top. A sliced pangsit is also nice for a decoration.
